It looked really pretty outside this afternoon. I saw a few people walking around.

Maybe I should go for a walk after work?

Then I went outside to put out some food for the critters. It's cold, 35 degrees F according to my thermometer.

Sidewalks are still not shoveled, I'd bet. Maybe later.

isn't that high. Ergo, there's ice on the pavement unless the sun has been shining on it all day. Now that it's past 4:00 p.m. and the sun is about to set, anything that's liquid will quickly refreeze.

I found out yesterday. Walking in from the parking lot around 7-8 pm I stepped on a black ice patch. I skidded and surfed for a bit but didn't go down. Not planning on doing that again any time soon. Daytime it is.
