LYNCHBURG, Va. (WSET) — Liberty University has agreed to relinquish the FCC license for its student-run radio station, WQLU(FM), and pay a $10,000 fine to resolve an investigation by the FCC into Liberty's operation of the station and statements Liberty made to the FCC about the station’s operations.

According to the Consent Decree between LU and the Media Bureau of the FCC, LU admitted to violations in regard to operating the station at a variance of its licensed parameters and making incorrect statements about the station’s operations to the FCC.
