FAIRFAX COUNTY, Va. (7New) Students at Justice High School in Fairfax County planned a walkout Monday morning in support of Palestinians amid rising tensions in the Middle East.
Roughly 50 to 60 students took part in the walkout.
"We are out here protesting for Palestine. We want peace. We don't want to continually see our people dying every day and we're sick of it. We're sick of how two governments cannot deal with each other, and we have to see innocent people die every day because of their own actions," said 12th grader Rudaina Ahmed.
The student walkout is the latest in a series of rallies across the DMV. Last week, over 30 people were arrested during a protest in front of the White House led by several Jewish groups. ... Ahmed said she organized the walkout to fight for Palestinians' lives.
