Blacksburg Police finds two people dead in vehicle

On Tuesday, Nov. 7, at 4:42 p.m., Blacksburg Police was dispatched to the parking garage at 723 University City Boulevard regarding a suspicious vehicle, according to a press release from the Blacksburg Police Department. Officers who arrived on scene found two deceased individuals inside the vehicle. ... Police say that it currently appears to be an isolated incident without threat to the community. Names will not be released at this time.
On Wednesday, Nov. 8, Blacksburg Police provided an update stating the two deceased individuals are juveniles. They have been identified as students at Blacksburg High School. A weapon was also found in the vehicle. Police and the Town of Blacksburg are working with Montgomery County Public Schools to see that MCPS staff and students have access to services should they need them. Investigators have contacted and notified families of the deceased.
Blacksburg Police reiterated that this seems to be an isolated incident with no ongoing threat to the community.
