https://www.wavy.com/news/local-news/changes-to-tuition-waiver-program-concerning-virginia-families-say-timing-feels-intentional/"HAMPTON ROADS, Va. (WAVY) Its an understatement to say that many Virginia military and Gold Star families are concerned after Gov. Glenn Youngkin signed the budget bill that enacted changes to the tuition waiver program.
The Virginia Military Survivors and Dependents Education Program helps families of disabled veterans, or those killed in action, further their education in the Commonwealth.
Families said they feel like the changes are intentional, especially being so close to Memorial Day weekend."
I posted about this last month, and the issue has really blown up- short story, the Legislature (yes including democrats) passed the bill, Youngkin signed it into law. Gold star and disabled vet families are PISSED, I have a lot of veteran friends on my social media has been blowing up- and they're pissed at Youngkin. REALLY pissed. He's carrying the bulk of the blame from what I can see. The message is- Glen Youngkin turned his back on the children of disabled vets and those who died in service.

The GOP falls in line. Why help the children of suckers and loosers.
GOP only like the military for props. Why any military person votes Republican is beyond me.

Back in the day, I was a radio guy for the C.A.P. (Civil Air Patrol-Northeastern North Carolina area) and we often communicated with the old Cape Charles Air Base as well as NNSY (Norfolk Naval Ship Yard) for various things. This idiot needs to go visit Norfolk and tell these families about how this is helping them. I wish he would.
