Authorities believe they know how a bear found in a trash bag in Arlington died.
The Animal Welfare League of Arlington just released a statement (below) saying the bear was struck by a driver on I-66 in Prince William County, then transported to Arlington and illegally dumped. … The driver is reportedly a VDOT contractor.
The dead bear was discovered by a woman who was walking her dog near Spout Run, north of Courthouse and adjacent to I-66.
