Bob Ferguson announces exploratory campaign for Washington governor

Washington Attorney General Bob Ferguson launched an exploratory campaign Tuesday to become the state's next governor.

The Democrat's announcement came one day after Jay Inslee announced he would not run for a fourth term. At 72, Inslee is the longest-serving governor in office in the U.S., and is only the second Washington governor to be elected to three consecutive terms.

The filing period for candidates runs from 9 a.m. May 15 to 4 p.m. May 19.

Ferguson, 58, a former member of the King County Council, was first elected as AG in 2012, then re-elected in 2016 and 2020. On Tuesday, released a video on YouTube announcing his exploratory campaign.

but he would be missed in the AG position. I would love to know how much he has won for Washington. I saw an attack on him already. It said that he sues small businesses and puts them out of business. How ridiculous.
