Washington Wine Commission names Gallo vet as next executive director

The Washington State Wine Commission has named Kristina Kelley as its next executive director, effective Monday.

Kelley was a longtime executive at E. & J. Gallo Winery, one of the world's largest wine companies, where she recently served as senior director of public relations and corporate communications.

“We couldn’t be more excited to welcome Kristina to the team,” Sadie Drury, the commission's board chair, said in a news release. “She has decades of experience in nearly every facet of the wine industry, along with a proven track record of strong leadership, strategic thinking, and great enthusiasm."

Founded in 1987, the commission is tasked with promoting Washington's wine industry through marketing, events and branding initiatives. Kelley replaces Steve Warner, who left the commission in July 2022. SearchWide Global completed the commission's nationwide search.
