I am offended by and angry at Robert Sutherland who is running for Snohomish County auditor with a platform of false claims of widespread fraud in the 2020 election. Id like to say shame on you, Sutherland. By continuing to fan the flames of fraudulent elections, Sutherland possibly causes potential harm to our election officials and election workers (volunteers, often senior citizens). Think not? Recall what happened to the mother and daughter poll workers in Fulton County, Ga., when the former president made completely false allegations about them. Their lives became almost untenable due to the multitude of threats they received.
Former Secretary of State Kim Wyman, a Republican, ran our state elections from 2013 to 2021 with the highest degree of competency. State elections, especially our mail-in ballots, are one of the best in the nation and other states look to Washington state as an example. We can thank Wyman for free postage on those mail-in ballots too.
So, Sutherland wants to do away with mail-in ballots and increase transparency? I do not want Sutherland or his followers going into our elections offices and looking at my ballot. Any citizen can go to elections offices and see how our elections work, but look at ballots? No! This guy is alleging fraud where there is none. The Snohomish County GOP party chair Bob Hagglund says its going to be a tough choice for voters. Indeed? I think not.
I have faith in the majority of voters to cast a vote that does not involve a person who has been lying about election fraud for 3-plus years. And to top it off, of course Sutherland has threatened that win or lose he will either perform or call for a comprehensive audit of the 2023 Snohomish County auditors race
to make sure there is no wrongdoing. Please Snohomish County voters, do not vote for Robert Sutherland.
