The UW Huskies have earned one more game in their magical season.
The Huskies won the Sugar Bowl 37-31 over Texas on Monday night to advance to the College Football Playoff National Championship. Washington will meet Michigan, which won the Rose Bowl 27-20 over Alabama, in the title game in Houston next Monday, Jan. 8.
The Huskies and Wolverines are both perfect at 14-0 and winners of their respective conferences. The two teams will actually be conference foes starting next season in the Big Ten as Washington is leaving the Pac-12.
The Huskies used their high-powered passing attack to topple the Longhorns on Monday with star quarterback Michael Penix Jr., who finished second in Heisman voting this season, passing for 430 yards and two touchdowns in arguably the best game of his already-impressive season.

That was a bit of a nail biter at the end.
I wonder if Jim Harbaugh still does his sideline antics like he did when he coached the Niners?

(4,808 posts)I'm a Georgia Bulldog - you know, the original Dawgs - but I really pulled for you tonight and will be doing so again in the final. I have been impressed by your team, especially the sweep of a very good Oregon team, and felt like Washington was the equal of Texas. I'm hoping that Penix has the game of his life and that you deliver an absolute beatdown of Michigan.

(6,307 posts)But Harbaugh really hasn't drawn a lot of attention at Michigan for losing it on the sideline. Of course this year he wasn't even on the sideline for 6 games, including two of the biggest, so that helps reduce the chances.
I'm glad that late injury didn't cost the Huskies (I do question the play call that led to it, though). I was hoping for this matchup next week.
