Vice President Kamala Harris enjoys a fourteen point lead over Donald Trump among likely Washington Top Two voters
Presumptive Democratic presidential nominee Kamala Harris has inherited Joe Bidens double-digit lead over Donald Trump in the Evergreen State and appears poised to earn a majority of the vote this autumn against Trump and independent Robert F. Kennedy, a new poll conducted this week for the Northwest Progressive Institute has found.
52% of 581 likely August Top Two voters surveyed yesterday and Wednesday said they would vote for Harris if the general election were being held now, while 38% said they would vote for Trump. 6% said they would vote for independent Robert F. Kennedy, 2% said they would vote for another candidate, and 1% said they were not sure.
Harris fourteen point lead is similar to our
May and
February findings, in which Joe Biden led Trump by sixteen points. Its important to note that this was a survey of August Top Two voters, not November general election voters, and that we did not give respondents the option of picking Kennedy or another candidate in our previous surveys. We did this time because
Kennedy has submitted signatures to get on the Washington State ballot and we expect there to be a few other tickets to be listed as well.
Voters in the Evergreen State are currently in the midst of their jungle round of voting in 2024, with ballots due back by 8 PM Pacific Time on Tuesday, August 6th.
