Democratic voters still haven't coalesced behind a candidate for Commissioner of Public Lands, NPI poll finds
The Washington State Democratic Party remains at risk of being locked out of having a candidate on the November general election ballot for Commissioner of Public Lands if enough Democratic voters do not coalesce behind a single candidate, the Northwest Progressive Institutes July Top Two election survey has found.
Nearly half (48%) of the 581 likely August voters interviewed by Public Policy Polling last week for NPI reported that they are not sure who they are voting for in the race.
18% said they were voting for former Republican Congresswoman Jaime Herrera Beutler, who has been the frontrunner in the last three surveys weve commissioned (in May and February of this year and November of last year).
12% said they were voting for another Republican, Sue Kuehl Pedersen, who has the endorsement of the Washington State Republican Party.
