Former Molbak's site in Woodinville to host rotation of food trucks

The expansive Molbaks property in Woodinville is set to host an assortment of food trucks for the rest of the summer, according to an announcement from the Washington State Food Truck Association.
Formerly home to a landmark nursery, the site will have Food Truck Fridays weekly at 13625 N.E. 175th St., running Fridays from 4:30-7:30 p.m. from Aug. 9 through Oct. 11.
One or two trucks are on the schedule for each evening so far, including Asian Crazy, Crave Street Gourmet, La Costenita Cuisine, Delfinos Chicago Style Pizza, LItaliano, Momos Kebab, Tabassum and Yummy Gyros. If enough interest is shown, other days of the week and times will be added, the announcement notes.
The longer-term future of the property remains unclear at this juncture, with the plan for Green Phoenix Collaborative a space meant to host plant vendors, classes, and food and drink businesses called off in May after a fundraising effort fell short. Molbaks Garden + Home closed in January after nearly 70 years, when a plan for a major redevelopment in the area was shelved.
