No one I know feeds them. They've raided my fruit trees a couple of times.

They're not nicknamed trash pandas for nothing. It's a good idea to have a tight lid on your trash can when you put it out.

We would watch them cross our lower field on the way to her place. She would open her back kitchen door, and start opening cans of cat food, placing them on the floor, table, and kitchen counters. They knew her well. It was how she chose to spend her SS money. Until she passed, our neighborhood was overrun with the nasty critters. Cute, but nasty.

Some of us had to shoot them because they would steel our chickens, rabbits, etc. It was always gruesome to go out and feed the chickens in the morning and find that a 'coon had pulled a chicken through the fence one limb at a time during the night.

So glad we don't have that problem any more.
