Wild Waves Theme Park to shut down after revenue slides

Wild Waves Theme Park operator Premier Parks LLC said Wednesday it will close the water and amusement park next year after experiencing millions in lost revenue due to the pandemic.

The closure ends a nearly five-decade run for the park, which has long drawn visitors from across the Pacific Northwest.

Premier Parks said the closure would come at the end of the 2026 season, which runs from May 23 to Nov. 1. The company said it would honor all previously purchased season passes, ticket packages and group events for the upcoming season.

"Unfortunately, the rising cost of ongoing operations since reopening after the COVID shutdown has generated millions in losses, which forces us to discontinue operations at the end of our 2026 season," Premier Parks President Kieran Burke said in a news release.
