Related: About this forumI just saw a headline that
Idiot rwnj WV state reps want to remove the statue of Robert Byrd (D) and replace it with statues of Washington, Lincoln, Madison and Boreman. Erasing the memorial to the Democrat who brought WV Interstates and federal jobs, among other things. Rwnj are so envious of true leadership. At any level, rwnj can't do accomplish anything close to Sen. Byrd's achievements, so they'll try to bury his memory. I can't post a link right. It was on WOWK.com

(6,331 posts)The name of 'Byrd' has a looooong history in the area and the country. You can try to 'remove' his memory, but it won't happen.
Now, as to anyone remembering the jackass who proposed this.... well...

(18,984 posts)They have a turncoat gov, who just had his property siezed, to be auctioned to pay off $300 million in back taxes he won't pay.
They elected a bunch of rwnj anti-bortionists who banned abortion in WV and are stripping away advances in education, local opportunities, environmental protection. For a state that relies on tourism, they may have to change the state motto from Almost Heaven to Hell in a Handbasket.
The same rwnj they elected because gunz? Are now working at removing the memorial to one of the best politicians WV ever fielded.
There are citizens of WV alive who lived there before the Interstates were built, before Bureau of Public Debt and FBI offices were created there. Because of Sen. Byrd, there was a noticeable improvement in opportunity, if not the standard of living.
