I looked around for a clip of it on Youtube, but without success.

Mind you, I know the commercial had ZERO basis in historical accuracy, but I thought it hilarious.

The scene was a small congressional meeting at a kerosene-lit old tavern or something. Around a table sat about a dozen or so men, dressed in garb from eras ranging from colonial times to recent history, debating what to name their new state. As they debated, they passed around a plate of West Virginia (brand) bacon. They all agreed that West Virginia (brand) bacon was the best bacon in the country.

Finally, one of them stood up and exclaimed, "I know! Let's call our new state 'Bacon!'"

(I hope no offense is taken by this little quip.)
