Last Weekend, Markesan Wisconsin

June Dairy Days (Husband is from Markesan), for the first time since...well, ever, the Dems had a presence in the parade and a good showing.

The in-laws were stunned.

Many people cheered.

Made me happy.

ETA: I'm pretty sure that Green Lake County is the reddest county in WI or it used to be.

Our congressman is Glenn Grothman, a teabagger.

Even though I have Luther Olsen I still hate Grothman more.

Due to Gerrymandering everywhere is red.

Most of the FoxRiver Valley is red.

seeing any real Dem presence at this parade. Also, people were utterly silent as the Republicans came by. Also, Joan Ballweg (I think it's Joan) wasn't walking in the parade as she usually does.

I think it is a good sign.

We were both born in Wisconsin, but live in Iowa now. I'm shocked at what has happened there. I'm hoping that things turn around in the midterms.
