As 10 Democrats continue to jockey for the chance to challenge Republican Gov. Scott Walker in November, the governor leads in hypothetical match-ups against the entire Democratic field.

But Walker's lead falls well within the margin of error, and many voters aren't yet paying close attention to the race.
The new numbers come from a Marquette University Law School poll released Wednesday.

For the first time since Oct. 2014, more Wisconsin voters approve of Walker's job performance than disapprove. Forty-nine percent approve of Walker, up from 47 percent when the last poll was conducted in March.

Superintendent of Public Instruction Tony Evers continues to lead the Democratic field, with support from 25 percent of the 318 people who said they plan to vote in the Democratic primary. Evers is also the most well-known candidate in the field, but 61 percent of those polled hadn't heard of him or don't know enough to have an opinion.

Voters were interviewed from June 13-17. The sample trended more Republican than the long-term history of the poll does..................................................

"We have a moderately close race, one that in most of those cases is inside the margin of error or close to it, but with the governor a little bit ahead," Franklin said.......................................................

you will get more accurate poll results because that person will become better known and people will be able to make a specific comparison with Walker. I hope you can get rid of that tool.
