Got this from a close friend here in Madison who got the email from the UW Health Volunteer Services Team. If you have interest, and equipment, give this a read:
This is the message from Michael Rosenblum, at UW Health....
Please email your name, phone, email and home address to [volunteer.services@uwhealth.org](mailto:volunteer.services@uwhealth.org) for the correct and approved pattern and materials. The message says please don't start sewing.
"Hello UW Health Volunteers,
We hope you, your loved ones and friends are all doing well.
We have had many volunteers reach out to ask how they can help support UW Health and the community at this time. We greatly appreciate all of your willingness to go above and beyond!
We now have one way that you can help! We are searching for volunteers that have sewing machines and who know how to sew. Volunteers are needed to sew cloth face masks to be used by providers.
At the moment, please DO NOT start sewing. UW Health is working on an approved pattern and material for these cloth face masks, as they will all need to be made with the exact same pattern and materials.
For now, please respond to this email if you are interested in sewing a cloth face masks.
