For the first time, Wisconsin has confirmed more than 2,500 new coronavirus cases in a single day, with 2,533 new cases confirmed in 13,067 tests. It’s the second consecutive record-setting day for new cases, as yesterday the state confirmed 2,034 new cases.

Wisconsin’s positive test rate jumped to 19.4 percent Thursday, rising from 17.7 percent Wednesday. Those results bring the total case count to 97,279, of which just over 12,800 are considered active, about 1,000.

Today is the 14th day of the past 15 that the positive test rate has been over 10 percent.

Wisconsin’s positive test rate for the past seven days is now 15,65 percent, and the 14-day rate is up to 15.12 percent. Today’s data brings the seven-day average of new cases to 1,576 and the 14-day average to 1,306.
