Explained all the things I was concerned about happening that would deter me: Ill elderly parents, sick cat, kids school up in the air, getting called in to work. After 30 seconds thought, she said “You’re right. I’ll go turn it in tonight after work”.

I returned my ballot last week. Took it strait to City Hall and handed it off to the Clerk.

Additionally, I'm encouraging everyone I know to send in the ballots (or hand deliver or drop box) as soon as possible. Much to my surprise several people didn't know that you can vote early in-person, so I passed along information about that too.

A request is not a ballot in hand. We cannot assume all 1.16 Million have been mailed.

I vote absentee since 2004. My ballot is ready to be counted at the clerk's office.
