Group wins case in disabled access to the ballot with special regard to

"Today, voters from across our state celebrate a huge win for ballot access. Last month, on behalf of four voters with disabilities, we filed suit in federal court to confirm that federal law protects Wisconsin absentee voters with disabilities in the November 2022 election.

"The order and opinion issued today by Chief Judge Peterson are unequivocal: Wisconsin voters with disabilities may return their absentee ballots through a third party of their choosing: https://lawforward.org/our-work/carey-v-wec

"We filed this case to alleviate confusion sown by the Wisconsin Supreme Court’s decision in Teigen v. WEC, which clouded how federal law protects access to absentee ballots for Wisconsin voters with disabilities...."
