A QSL card is therefore a written confirmation. The sending of QSL cards dates back to the 1920s when AM radio broadcasts were still a novelty and stations wanted to know how far away they were being received.

Civic Media Network has been buying up AM and FM stations across Wisconsin and last time I looked has nearly 20 stations in its network, covering most of Wisconsin. Lots of locally and statewide produced talk shows are on the schedules but a healthy variety of other programming including sports, local music and humor, plus hourly news from its own news staff plus CBS News.
