City of Madison's election drop boxes open up

MADISON, Wis. (WMTV) - The City of Madison’s drop boxes are now open for use to turn in ballots for the November 5 General Election.

Those who requested absentee ballots are supposed to get them in the mail in the next few days. It will provide instructions on how to make sure the ballot can be counted. The ballot can be returned either by drop box or by mail.

Ballots need to have the following to be counted:

The voters signature
A witnesses signature
The witnesses name and address

Here in WA state, where we all vote by mail, we don't need a witness's signature, name and address. fierywoman Sep 2024 #1
