Election preview: 2 seek Grant County Board seat representing Potosi, nearby rural areas

Two candidates seek to fill a Grant County (Wis.) Board of Supervisors seat being vacated by a longtime incumbent.

The District 14 seat includes the villages of Potosi and Tennyson, as well as parts of the village of Dickeyville and parts of Potosi, Harrison and Paris townships. It is the only contested county board seat in 2026.

Potosi Tennyson Area Chamber of Commerce President Dan Durley and Harrison Township resident Dave Hottenstein both seek to fill the seat in the April 7 election. Incumbent Lester Jantzen, who was first elected in 2008, is not seeking reelection.

The Telegraph Herald interviewed Durley and Hottenstein about their reasons for running and goals for Grant County.
