and left when I enlisted. Wife hates snow, so I'm stuck in Florida. Still have family there and I try to visit when I can.
Does that count?

and where are you from?
I grew up in Rock Springs. My oldest brother was a cop in Riverton in the 1970s.
The diving and playing with the manatee is fun, but Florida is too paved over with gated McMansions and golf courses.
Choosing between snow and Rick Scott, I'll take the snow.

The one and only time I was in South Dakota was during the occupation of Wounded Knee in 1973. A group from the Fellowship of Reconciliation drove out to give nonviolent support to AIM and to hike in supplies. I only made it as far as Porcupine in the Pine Ridge Reservation.

Wall's aside, the Badlands were like the bottom of an emptied ocean.
