Wyoming Democrats form caucus to boost engagement

CHEYENNE – Wyoming Democratic Party leaders say they’re creating a new caucus within the party to increase participation in the party and be more inclusive.

Dubbed the “progressive caucus,” the developing group will function as a focus group through which members can have a voice with party leaders, Wyoming Democratic Party Chair Ana Cuprill said.

“As we’re trying to grow the party and be more inclusive … folks want to participate in less traditional ways,” she said. “This gives them an opportunity to be more active in that manner.”

The caucus is open to any Democrat or independent voter and is still in the process of being organized, and it will serve as a voice for the progressive wing of the party.
