North Korea: Australia would support United States in conflict, Malcolm Turnbull says

"Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull says if North Korea launches an attack on the United States, Australia will join the conflict.

""America stands by its allies, including Australia of course, and we stand by the United States," Mr Turnbull told 3AW.

""So be very, very clear on that. If there's an attack on the US, the ANZUS Treaty would be invoked and Australia would come to the aid of the United States, as America would come to our aid if we were attacked."

This hasn't gone down very well on social media. Howard is still reviled for dragging us into Iraq against the expressed wishes of the majority of the population, and Menzies is still negatively associated with the Vietnam fiasco.

But we know already that Turnbull is a spineless twat, without an original thought in his empty head, and he'll do whatever he's told by Rupert Murdoch and the grey men of the IPA who run the Liberal Party.

And when the nuclear weapons start hitting their targets, he'll be safe in his bunker.

there are many here who think he should be trying to calm things down, not join in the warlike rhetoric.

Because, like Trump, Turnbull has never served in the armed forces.

And he won't be this time, either. He'll be sending others to do it for him.
