Reminder for Ontario residents to vote for SB trustees!
Anti-trans groups (and "anti-woke" groups in general) are investing heavily in all the school board races this municipal election, and they're getting a lot of coaching from their counterparts to the south. The Ford government is more about money than bigotry, so they're officially in favor of inclusiveness for now, but G*d only knows which way they'll break if too many races go the wrong way. Even if you don't have children of your own, vote for the sake of everyone else's!

It should be easy to research candidates online. Most of them have web pages, and your local news and/or government sites should have a list of the ones for your ward. I live in Ottawa myself, so it's simple for me, but it might be different for smaller communities.
The most important rule of thumb is to beware of anyone standing for "parents' rights"; it specifically means "right to know what pronouns my kids prefer when they're not at home", among other things. A candidate who states their support for the current provincial guidelines is probably okay.
