A woman who coughed at a Vancouver Island grocery store employee during the early days of the COVID-19 pandemic has been found guilty of assault by a judge in British Columbia.
The incident occurred at a Save On Foods in Campbell River, B.C., on April 24, 2020, when social-distancing measures had been mandated by provincial public health officials.
Judge Barbara Flewelling found Kimberly Woolman guilty of two counts of assault: one for the coughing incident, and the other for ramming a shopping cart into the store's assistant manager. Woolman was also found guilty of causing a disturbance.

Poulton said she was maintaining social distancing of two metres behind Woolman when Woolman suddenly stopped, shortening the distance between them by about half, and forcibly coughed twice at Poulton's face.

(29,814 posts)She was all ready to be sentenced to probation but her statement at the sentencing was so lame the judge put her in jail. She could not bring herself to express remorse, but went on and on about how bad it had been for her and her children.
I cannot find the full sentencing video, but watched it at the time. It was something to watch this Karen literally talk herself into going to jail.

(29,814 posts)a very entitled woman living her life in a bubble. though the judge was very good at explaining why she was going to jail. she's too dense and full of herself to hear and appreciate what he said. all around, a not so good person.

(4,884 posts)An unmasked idiot coughed on me in a Target store at a time when masks were mandated. She had worn a bandana into the store, then pulled it down like a neck scarf. She also called me a "f*ckin' b*tch." Sure wish management had caught her and had her arrested for assault because it certainly was exactly that.

(11,917 posts)although we lived in a couple other communities in-between. I have a sister and a brother who still live in the area and they too are anti-vax. I was reading hoping I wouldn't see my sister's name, because we have not spoken to each other for a couple of years, but I know she refused to wear a mask anywhere.
