Nova Scotia and the Heavy Flooding!

Nova Scotia is one of my favorite Province's in Canada. We went there in 2005 on a camping trip all over the Maritime Provinces.

and lived there later on. Such a great place full of great people. Both my grandmothers and mother were from NS. Kind people. My mom's sister lived there her whole life. She dove me around the province over the years. I had fun with she and her husband at Christmases: after I had finished exams I'd stay with them for a few days. They were great.

While on this camping trip we went to a Concert in Halifax featuring The Proclaimers from Scotland. I was obsessing over them at the time and my friend in New York got us tickets. Best trip ever!

I went in the Ocean.. I don't remember where the beach was.. she was driving but I wanted to go in the Ocean.. It was September and really cold water therapy!

NS are really cold most of the summer. It August at Hirtles Beech, on the South Shore near Lunenburgh or La Have, the water is tolerable but and refreshing but not warm. The north east in NS, across from where Prince Edward Island is, is much warmer as they get water from central Canadian lakes and rivers like the St Laurence River. It is about 5 - 10 degrees warmer. I would not be surprised if the ocean is warmer everywhere this summer due to climate change. Saw many a band in university as Halifax pubs often had bands. Fun times.

Speaking of Prince Edward Island.. we also went by Lucy Maude Montgomery's home. So beautiful.

but $$$$ still rules most decisions when discussing "climate change".

...the problem is, it's OIL and GAS money that makes all the decisions.
