Isn't energy independence supposed to be part of that? And they claim to be oil gods as well, so why the blackouts? (Other than greed of course)

(1,897 posts)...that purposely endanger people for profit, I'm a huge fan of decentralized heat/power generation, from renewables and otherwise.
You won't suffer for someone else's greed when you don't have to rely on them for anything.

(122,801 posts)find out soon if they in fact did game the system to make more money. They sent out an alert asking people to stop using power so it is looking like it may have been a legit issue. People complied.
