to a young whale that kept beaching himself inside our small Dungeness Bay (next to the Strait of Juan de Fuca). They stayed with him all night, covered him with sheets and kept him wet. He was grieving the loss of his mother. They eventually got him out into the Strait but it took a few tries. Thanks to Canada too.
