not even in Canada, but one of the most awesome vacations I've ever taken was in Nova Scotia! There was such breathtaking beauty around every bend on my trip around the perimeter up to Cape Breton. Also, the people I met and talked with were amazingly polite and helpful and just so doggone nice, but then again most Canadians are.

I flew into Halifax and spent a couple days there and it was also very nice. Good luck with your move.

get called "buddy". Both of my grandmother's are from there. Great people. Great place. Mahone Bay and Hurtles Beach are the vacation places I spent the most time in. Lunenberg too. Beautiful. Just driving along the countryside you come across the cutest little hills called drumlins left behind by the last iceage. I like Thomas Raddall's "Halifax: Warden of the North" for a salty history of the city. And don't be shy to order a Donair as a midnight snack.
