The 29-year-old charged criminally in the Humboldt Broncos bus tragedy will make his first appearance tomorrow morning in a Melfort courtroom.
Jaskirat Sidhu, of Calgary, was arrested without incident at his home July 6 and was charged with 16 counts of dangerous driving causing death along with 13 counts of dangerous driving causing bodily harm. Sidhu was driving a semi-trailer on a highway near Tisdale April 6 when his rig collided with the bus carrying the Humboldt Broncos junior hockey team to a playoff game in Nipawin.
The crash left 16 members of the Broncos organization dead and 13 others injured. Sidhu was not hurt in the collision.
RCMP said Sidhu will make his first court appearance at 9:30 a.m. in Melfort Provincial Court Tuesday. The charges against him have not been tested before the courts.
