I lived not far from Kamloops and I am concerned for a few more schools, there was a large residential school outside of Cranbrook BC as well, I will bet that will be the next location to be studied.

(24,405 posts)2. Canada has at least acknowledged its role
in the abuse of these children. The US had the same program with the same kinds of abuses. As far as I know, the US government has never acknowledged its part in promoting these schools and the forced assimilation and abuse, let alone apologized for it. I am not aware of any US attempts to help the families and victims heal.

on Netflix tonight: Indian Horse.
