I fully expect the NDP will form a government with the Liberals, even if the Conservatives get more seats (they won’t get a majority).

I think the coalition talk is right wing US meme because they don't want NDP and greens fliocking to the Liberals to block a conservative win like often happens at the last moment. Just a bit of US rat****ing in a Canadian election. If Conservatives win the most seat but a minority, and if the NDP and liberals together will have a majority, the Conservatives will still be named the Government.

Ok, so it’s not a power sharing coalition, but the liberals hold power at the pleasure of the NDP, who could dissolve the government with a no confidence vote if they chose (strategically unwise, but nevertheless possible).
