winning only TWO seats in Parliament in 1993 under his leadership. He 'retired' before the election leaving Kim Campbell to inherit his mess.

He was, is and always will be a slimy POS, imo.

for a long time. What he did for the African National Congress and South Africa was his rare own original thinking and was good. I guess big US republicans could not put lipstick on that pig Apartheid. But Mulroney out front for O'Toole while Stephen Harper hides shows that they think canadians see him as more benign. And he probably was.

'When Irish Eyes Are Smiling' when Reagan was here at the Shamrock Summit in Quebec City in 1985. I still get nauseous just thinking about it.

for Trudeau. He said "unlike O'Toole, I don't speak out of both sides of my mouth". (Chretien has a type of palsy in his face which means he literally can only speak out of one side of his mouth and it has been that way his whole career)
