One little titbit from the election...

is that my favourite MP, Iain Duncan Smith, got a majority of only 2438. Chingford a marginal seat? Wonders will never cease. Wouldn't it be a terrible tragedy if there were an IDS Moment next time!

Both Labour and Tories have lost seats previously thought unthinkable to change hands, and there's also plenty of other previously safe seats where the incumbent has lost a great deal of support to another party.

Who would have imagined that the Tories could win 12 Scottish seats, and lose Kensington and Chelsea and Canterbury, all in the same election?
