Storm Gareth
Here in the west of Scotland, it's been brewing since yesterday. The neighbours' large pine tree that overshadows our drive had shed a pretty impressive branch from about 40 feet up overnight, there were other smaller trees toppled and blocking one of the nearby roads, during the day many west coast ferries were cancelled, and train services have seen severe disruption. but it's really kicking off here now, with some lulls in between. There have been some ominous bumps from outside, but I'm stuffed if I'm going out there to check what's going on at the moment.
Machrihanish near Campbeltown saw a gust of 75 mph earlier:

Machrihanish has so far been the windiest place in the UK this evening with a gust of 75mph. Looking at records, this looks to be the strongest gust of wind to be recorded here in the month of March since 1994. #StormGareth @CALAirport
This is due to continue through till about 8 am tomorrow. I doubt I'll have any photos of my own unless there's anything notable in the aftermath, but the #stormgareth hashtag will have plenty, I'm sure:
