Boris Johnson: police called to loud altercation at potential PM's home

Police were called to the home of Boris Johnson and his partner, Carrie Symonds, in the early hours of Friday morning after neighbours heard a loud altercation involving screaming, shouting and banging.

[A] neighbour said they recorded the altercation from inside their flat out of concern for Symonds. On the recording, heard by the Guardian, Johnson can be heard refusing to leave the flat and telling Symonds to “get off my fucking laptop” before there is a loud crashing noise.

Symonds is heard saying Johnson had ruined a sofa with red wine: “You just don’t care for anything because you’re spoilt. You have no care for money or anything.”

The neighbour said: “There was a smashing sound of what sounded like plates. There was a couple of very loud screams that I’m certain were Carrie and she was shouting to ‘get out’ a lot. She was saying ‘get out of my flat’ and he was saying no. And then there was silence after the screaming. My partner, who was in bed half asleep, had heard a loud bang and the house shook.”

Then fame seemed to go to her head, and she became a narcissistic reactionary arsehole. Or maybe she always was, and just covered it up until she felt secure.

In a statement released on Saturday night, Penn, 29, said: “In the early hours of Friday morning, I answered a phone call from a takeaway food delivery driver. At the same time, I heard what sounded like shouting coming from the street.

“I went downstairs, on the phone to the driver, and collected my food. On the way back into my flat, it became clear that the shouting was coming from a neighbour’s flat. It was loud enough and angry enough that I felt frightened and concerned for the welfare of those involved, so I went inside my own home, closed the door, and pressed record on the voice memos app on my phone.

“After a loud scream and banging, followed by silence, I ran upstairs, and with my wife agreed that we should check on our neighbours. I knocked three times at their front door, but there was no response. I went back upstairs into my flat, and we agreed that we should call the police.

“The police arrived within five minutes. Our call was made anonymously, and no names were given to the police. They subsequently called back to thank us for reporting, and to let us know that nobody was harmed.

Another neighbour, a nursery teacher who lives with her husband and four-year-old son in the top flat next door, told the Times that she could hear “shouting and screaming”.

Fatimah, 32, said: “It was really loud, loud enough to make me turn down the TV and see what was going on. I could hear shouting and screaming from a lady, she sounded really angry. There was a man’s voice too, but he was much calmer and he was telling her to calm down but she was still chucking things about,” she said. “It went on for about 10 minutes. I’ve never heard anything like it. I was considering calling the police but then a [police] van and car came.”

I hate to be the one to break it to these gobshites, but you have a loud altercation with your other half in the middle of the night and your neighbour's hear it there is a good chance that they will end up ringing the police about it.

Below is a horrific example local to me where a neighbor did just that. The neighbour's actions stopped two children being murdered, although it was too late for the eldest two.

If they'd both answered the door and said "sorry about the noise, nothing to worry about", I'm sure the police would never have been involved.

(I'm not going to propagate it here.)

If something untoward happens to these people, I hope their editor ends up in jail for incitement, along with the likes of Pearson.

At least it sounds like Johnson's current partner has moved out (claiming she feels "threatened" ) for the time being, so they'll get some peace from that quarter.

The fact that it's a flat tells you all you need to know. When you live in a flat you have to potential to hear neighbour's upstairs, downstairs, next door, down the hall and from any number of other directions. Fail on Sunday readers probably know this if they have the most basic life experience, so the only possible motivation for publishing this is political vindictiveness.
