The Metropolitan Police have said it will not investigate allegations of a party at Downing Street when lockdown rules banned social gatherings.
The force claims this is due to an absence of evidence and its policy not to investigate retrospective breaches of coronavirus regulations.
The Mirror revealed the bash on December 18 last year when London was in Tier 3 lockdown rules.
No 10 tried to insinuate it didnt happen - by claiming whatever took place wasnt a party.

Hopefully people see all this and start to wake to how much the Tories consider themselves to be above the rules.
The post she resigned from was "government adviser" after they ditched the idea of US-style press conferences, which would have been her original role when hired. Maybe they realized that it would be impossible for a press spoke to respond credibly on the record to the various scandals this government has been embroiled in.
I can't muster much sympathy for her. Her husband is James Forsyth, political editor of The Spectator, and she showed herself to be a nasty piece of work in her previous career:
Once she's dried her tears, she'll no doubt fall on her feet in some right-wing gravy train position.
