Boris Johnson resigns as MP with immediate effect

...Not only is Boris Johnson giving up as an MP - triggering a by election in a marginal seat.

He is doing so in an explosive manner - taking a direct pot shot at Prime Minister Rishi Sunak as he does so...

He claims the Commons Privileges Committee is a "kangaroo court".

And he is rallying the Brexit troops in suggesting his demise is driven by a motivation to overturn the result of the EU referendum.

Compared with the current Tory party, the 1980s Labour Party would have looked united and focused.

Oh, by the way, Mad Nad has resigned too -good riddance to extremely bad rubbish.

Where does Johnson go from here? Does he

a) Put together a consortium to buy the Telegraph group, and devote it all to articles slagging off his supposed enemies inside and outside the Tory party?

b) Get his own TV show pontificating incoherently for hours on GB "News" or TalkTV?
