I believe Lowell Wicker was our last Republican Senator.

Weicker is more progressive than Lieberman.

About Lieberman.
On the other hand out highly competent governor should think about national office.

Weicker I believe ran as an independent when he was elected governor. He did an outstanding job.

Winning that Senate seat in Iowa is going to be a heavy lift. The western and rural parts of Iowa are fire engine red.

Both NC and OH are open seats with outstanding Democratic nominees and weak Republican nominees.
Tom Harkin is the last Democratic US Senator from IA.
