If Kweisi Mfume had won the Democratic nomination for the 2006 MD US Senate Race,

It would have be an interesting black-D vs black-R US Senate race to watch.
Kweisi Mfume-D vs Michael Steele-R. Mfume would have won in the November General Election due to MD being a blue state and 2006 being a Democratic wave election year. Steele was a much serious Republican nominee in MD than Herschel Walker was in GA.
Mfume narrowly lost the Democratic nomination to Ben Cardin and is now back in the US House of Representatives.

No comparison between Michael Steele and walker now; of course, that was in the pre-insane repug 'party.'

Is Mfume likely to make a 2nd US Senate run or will he remain in the US House until he decides to retire from politics?
The Democratic primary race between Mfume vs Sarbanes vs Raskin is going to be interesting to watch? I except this Democratic primary race to be a 3 way tie.
