CO could have 2 US Senate Elections in 2026?
1) Bennet’s seat if Bennet become US Education Secretary in Biden’s 2nd term. Bennet was head of the Denver Public Schools before becoming US Senator. If Bennet leaves the US Senate in 2025, Governor Polis appoints Bennet’s US Senate successor who will then run in the 2026 special election and the run for a 1st full 6 year term in 2028.
Likely Candidates are Diane DeGette,Joe Neguse,or Jason Crow.
2)Hickenlooper’s seat. Hickenlooper decides not to seek re-election to a 2nd US Senate term,
