How would Omar do as a Democratic nominee for the MN US Senate seat when Klobuchar or Smith retires.

Minnesota is a Lean/Likely Democratic state.

The counties in the Twin Cities metro area is greater than 50 percent of the state population.
Hennepin- 1,260,121
Ramsey- 536,413
Dakota- 443,341
Anoka- 368,864
Washington- 275,192


Democrats hold every statewide office in MN.

Her CD5 in Minneapolis is much more progressive than the state as a whole is.

MN-2CD US Representative Angie Craig-D
Lt Governor Peggy Flanagan-D


Regarding Omar’s MN-5thCD, her predecessor Keith Ellison was elected to statewide office MN Attorney General in 2018 and 2022.

Omar has a fighting chance while Craig and Flanagan have a realistic chance.
