Related: About this forumSenate And House Elections
It seems like the media space is consumed by the Presidential Race but should we not be much more concerned about the Senate and House races than we seem to be? We very much need to maintain control of the Senate.
God forbid that Trump gets back in, but if he does, a Democratically controlled Senate will be one of the last bulwarks against the tyranny of a second Trump regime. We must fight as hard as possible to get Joe Biden re-elected, but I feel that we need to talk more about the Senate and the House elections than we have been.
Does anyone here have good information on their Congressional and Senate candidates? What are our chances to hold the Senate? What are our chances with the House? I am relying on the expertise of people here. I am in New York in a safe congressional district, so my Rep should easily get re-elected. My Senators are Schumer and Gillibrand, and they are secure as well. What about you? Where do your candidates stand?

(196 posts)I posted the above post before in General Discussion but so far have not gotten much response to it. I think that the Senate and House elections are very important and so far much under reported. I decided to repost it here in the Issues Forums under Campaigns in the hopes that I get more reactions to it. I am also looking for polls and hard data on our chances to hold the Senate and make progress in the House. Thanks in advance to anyone that responds to this thread.

Browns Ohio seat is tough. He has a great reputation, but Vance will energize the GOP base. Ohio will vote TFG, but that Senate seat is critical.

(383 posts)In reality based life I'd agree 100% with you. This is no longer reality. The supreme court has made it perfectly legal for tfg to have anyone who disagrees with him arrested and imprisoned. A majority won't mean shit if tfg is in the White House.
