Anonymous Supposedly Helped Keep Presidental Election Fair

Earlier this month, hactivist group Anonymous announced (PDF) that it helped put President Barack Obama back into office for another 4-year term by preventing Republican activist and Fox News anchor Karl Rove from electronically stealing votes from Obama supporters. The group claims that Rove somehow laid tunnels through voter tracking software that would have switched votes from Obama over to Romney in at least three states.

1. If you were a computer pro how would you hack a voting machine?

2. Do you think the FBI should start an investigation into computer voting machine security as a matter of national security?

I would like to see an investigation of recent elections and a new law requiring all US elections be conducted on:

PAPER BALLOTS

HAND COUNTED

IN PUBLIC

CAMERAS ROLLING

There is no justification whatsoever for the use of electronic voting/scanning machines. None.

by Rove Brothers and other operatives within the Repukes about electronics and other aspects. If Anon pulled this off, hey, congrats and we better get our Sh*t together before 2014 in order to protect the vote. Have personally watched a middle schooler hack the crap out of a Diebold machine with his cell phone. Some scary stuff. Thank fully this was someones personal machine that was set up to prove the possibilities of being controlled by outside influence.
